Antique Edwardian Art Nouveau Mahogany Music Sheet Chest of 5 drawers/Cabinet (1910).

We are delighted to bring to you this excellent condition Edwardian Art Nouveau (circa 1910) Mahogany music sheet cabinet. Originally intended for sheet music, but nowadays popular for filing and stationery, the drawer fronts fold down on a patented mechanism to allow easy access to the contents.
This Music cabinet features a tray top above an open display shelf featuring inlay to all 5 of the drawers, complemented by solid brass (copper plated) Art Nouveau handles. The lovely cabinet stands on 4 finely shaped classical Art nouveau carved cabriole legs to a square pad foot. The chest has a lovely rich mahogany colour and original french polished finish which has truly been looked after. This small narrow chest of drawers is an ideal accomplice to your piano and would look lovely seated next to it with a period lamp on top and would enhance any period property.
We have sympathetically restored this item maintaining original patina by just carefully waxing this item to enhance the French polished surface and preserve it for many years to come.
Please note this item is in very good condition for its age but will have the odd blemish here and there, however, we feel that adds to the charm of the item with it being an antique.
