A Lovely Edwardian Rosewood Gallery Base Table.

A charming Rosewood table.

We bring to you this outstanding Edwardian solid rosewood gallery base table believed to be made around C1890. This stunning table is in a lovely original condition which we have just enhanced by sympathetically waxing this table preserving the lovely lightly faded original colour with lots of patina and charm.

This table stands on typical Edwardian turned legs complete with a lower gallery base and shaped fretwork brackets below which is on its original solid polished brass castors on black porcelain wheels. There is no movement or play in any of the joints and the top is flat with no bowing or twisting. The table has at some point had a split in the top from timber movement but has been repaired. The lower gallery base does also have a small split from movement but is still sturdy and has been secured from underneath.

Please note this item is in beautiful condition for its age as shown in the photographs below however being an antique item it does have the odd bump and repair here and there. However, we feel that these points are which adds charm and character to a piece.
