Antique Edwardian Carved Walnut Dressing Chest of Drawers
A very versatile dressing chest of drawers.
We bring to you this excellent condition Edwardian (circa 1890-1900) solid Walnut Dressing Chest of drawers featuring an elegantly carved mirror pediment complete with its original bevelled mirror glass (minor pitting) on an adjustable tilt.
The shaped mirror upstands are accompanied with 2 shelves going down to 2 smaller jewellery drawers below another shelf. The dressing chest features 2 top drawers and 2 larger drawers allowing lots of storage space. This chest has a lovely lightly faded walnut colour with the original French polished finish and ornate polished solid brass dropper handles to all of the drawers. The adjustable tilt mirror is in a fantastic working order and is easily removable for transportation/storage via its original drop in mechanism. This very usable dressing chest is ideal for bedrooms or even large hallways.
We have sympathetically restored this item maintaining original patina by carefully waxing it to preserve the finish and give it a lovely natural sheen.
Please note; This item is in fantastic condition for its age as shown by the photographs below. Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches and dents, however, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character to a piece. Also note, the mirror glass is original so does have pitting (pictured) as expected with any antique mirror.
