Edwardian Octagonal Walnut Gallery base table.
A charming small table perfect for plants.
We are delighted to bring to you this lovely Edwardian octagonal Walnut occasional table believed to be made around C1895.
This table has a solid Walnut top with a lower frieze to 4 typical Edwardian finely turned legs. The table features a round gallery base which braces between the 4 legs and is ideal for placing plants on. This simple yet elegant table stands proudly on its unusual solid brass original ball castors.
There is no movement or play in any of the joints as the table is being normally used, the top is flat with no bowing or twisting. However, does have an old hairline crack in the one end of the joint on the top which is still strong.
This lovely table is in great original condition with its original deep Walnut colour with patina and French polished finish which we have just enhanced by sympathetically restoring and waxing.
Please note this item is in beautiful condition for its age as shown in the photographs below however being an antique item it does have the odd bump and dent here and there. However, we feel that these points are which adds charm and character to a piece.
Please note, items placed on or around this item are not included in sale, sale is for the table only.
