We are delighted to be able to offer to you this excellent original condition Edwardian to early Vintage C1920 - 1930's solid leather Gentleman's travel suitcase made by John Pound & Co, London.

John Pound is the oldest luggage brand in the world, starting life in the city of London in 1823 making leather goods, trunks and luggage for the gentry from its base in Leadenhall street. The brand predates all other luggage houses and is still in operation to this day.

This Lovely suitcase is made from the finest solid supple leather inside and out, complete with reinforced riveted corners, carry handle and chrome plated latching locks (latch working perfectly, however, no key included) and handle brackets. This suitcase is complete with its original black calfskin gold-tooled interior lining which is in fantastic condition with little wear considering its age and still houses its luggage straps. We have just cleaned and waxed this suitcase to give it a lustrous natural sheen and preserve and nourish the leather and protect this fine item for many more years to come. The luggage has been branded by its original owner to the lettering 'WFC' to the top, we love this characterful feature.

This luggage is ideal to be used as a coffee table, vintage/retro chest for storage or just be used as a room decor/blanket chest.

Please note this item is in very good condition for its age but does have obvious damage here and there, however, we feel that adds to the charm of the item with it being vintage.
