A beautiful Victorian writing desk, ideal for any period study or office.

We are delighted to offer this excellent condition Antique Late Victorian (circa 1880s's) Oak twin pedestal small writing desk ideal for any period study or office. This very usable desk is ideal to be used as a desk for a laptop with the bonus of being able to store the folded laptop in the middle drawer and could also even be used as a hall or console table as it is narrow and not too intrusive.

This lovely Oak desk has its original French polished finish with a rich Medium Oak colour with patina. The desk features 9 descending mahogany lined dovetail jointed drawers with wooden knobs none of which are broken or loose. The desk is complete with black full grain gold tooled writing leather which has been replaced recently so is in very good condition. This desk comes apart into 3 pieces for easy transportation and stands on castors which are hidden behind the lower plinth.

The desk is also polished on the back enabling this desk to look stunning placed in the middle of any room.

We have sympathetically restored this item maintaining original patina by just carefully waxing this item to enhance the French polished surface and preserve it for many years to come.

Please note; This item is in great condition for its age as shown by the photographs, however, being an antique item of this age there may be minor blemishes here and there which we feel adds to its originality and heritage of the piece.
