Antique Georgian Bow Fronted Mahogany Chest of 5 Drawers

An amazing condition original chest of drawers.

We are delighted to bring to you the finest example of a rare large Georgian (circa 1820) 5 deep descending drawer chest of drawers in Mahogany which is completely original and ideal for any period property. This chest of drawers is in an outstanding original condition featuring its original beautiful wax polished finish with a lovely rich mahogany colour. This chest features cock beaded edges (none missing or broken) which frames the stunning flame grain mahogany bowed drawer fronts. The drawers also feature the finest quality original Cuban Mahogany finely turned knobs which are in fantastic condition with no breaks or pieces missing. The finely dovetailed Elm lined drawers are in near perfect condition complete with most of the original blue paper lining, the drawers are smoothly operating and are very clean inside. The chest of drawers also stands on its beautifully ornate shaped base. This chest of drawers has just been carefully cleaned and waxed by us, maintaining its original patina whilst giving a lovely natural sheen.

Please note; This item is in fantastic condition for its age as shown by the photographs below. Being an antique item there are obviously marks, scratches, dents and some old repairs here and there as expected with anything of this age. However, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character to a piece.
