This is a marvellous example of a simply elegant Regency Pembroke table believed to be made around C1820 - 1830. This original table has a top with 3 planks and no glued joints, the tabletops are all made from the finest quality Cuban flame grain mahogany.
The fantastic table has a lovely lightly faded original colour with old surface markings and stains which give a great life story to this fine table.
This table features the ability to extend via 2 drop leafs along the length which are supported by 4 beautifully shaped support brackets which are clearly seen when the tabletops are opened which enhances the side profile of the table.
Under the tabletop hides a large very useful drawer which is practically invisible with no handles showing.
This totally original table stands on a central turned support columns incorporating 4 curved and carved sabre legs which stands on its original amazing solid polished brass carved castors of the finest quality. There are many possibilities for the layout of this table with configurations such as behind a sofa, as a breakfast/dining table or along the wall in a large hallway or even in a dining room as a serving table.
We have just cleaned and waxed to give a natural shine and enhance the surface.
This item is in an outstanding condition for its age as shown by the photographs below. Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches and dents, however, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character so we have left it untouched as it came in from the previous owner and have just cleaned and waxed this item.
