Antique Victorian Mahogany Bookcase Cabinet

An amazing condition original glazed cabinet.

We are delighted to bring to you one of the finest examples of a Victorian (circa 1870) bookcase cabinet of moderate proportion. This cabinet is completely original and ideal for any period property. Being this moderate size it is ideal for hallways, studies or drawing rooms offering immense storage space considering its small footprint. One feature we like is that this cabinet still has its original working locks with its original key and hand floated glass in the glazed doors.

This simple yet elegant cabinet is in an outstanding condition featuring its original beautiful lightly faded French polished finish with a lovely mahogany colour and original patina. This cabinet features 2 stunning moulded drawer fronts with carved corbels either side which are complemented by the period arch top cupboard and cabinet doors. The cabinet has 3 adjustable shelves to the cabinet top, a removable shelf in the base and is clean inside. The finely dovetailed Mahogany sided drawers are smoothly operating, clean inside and are complete with their original blue paper lining. We have just carefully cleaned and waxed this cabinet, maintaining its original patina whilst giving a lovely natural sheen.

Please note; This item is in fantastic condition for its age as shown by the photographs below. Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches and dents, however, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character to a piece. Also note, this piece comes apart into 2 sections for transport.
