Antique Victorian Mahogany Chiffonier Bookcase Cabinet

An amazing condition original glazed cabinet.

We are delighted to bring to you one of the finest examples of a Victorian (circa 1880) chiffonier bookcase cabinet of moderate proportion. This cabinet is completely original and ideal for any period property. Being this moderate size it is ideal for hallways, studies or drawing rooms offering immense storage space considering its small footprint. One feature we like is that this cabinet still has its original working locks with original key and hand floated glass in the glazed doors.

This simple yet elegant chiffonier is in an outstanding condition featuring its original beautiful lightly faded French polished finish with a lovely mahogany colour and original patina. This cabinet features a stunning moulded drawer front with carved corbels either side which are complemented by the period arch top cupboard doors. The cabinet has 3 adjustable shelves to the cabinet top and a fixed shelf in the base and is clean inside. The finely dovetailed oak sided drawer is smoothly operating and is also very clean inside. We have just carefully cleaned and waxed this cabinet, maintaining its original patina whilst giving a lovely natural sheen.

Please note; This item is in fantastic condition for its age as shown by the photographs below. Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches and dents, however, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character to a piece.
