Original Antique "PHILLIPS & SON" Fully Restored Luxury safe.

A rare Phillips safe in a stunning fully restored working condition.

We bring to you this very rare excellent condition "Phillips" patent steel safe made by the maker Phillips & Son Lock and Safe Co LTD of Birmingham in around C1930. This fantastic quality and very secure safe is truly a museum piece and has had no expense spared in its 'nut & bolt' full restoration completely carried out in house by Lincoln Restorations.

This lovely safe features original specification Piano black glossy paintwork complemented by the ornate painted coach lines which elegantly frames the door. The safe has then been skilfully sign-written with the makers name and the date of establishment. This safe has been fully restored from bare metal, having been stripped and linished to ensure the highest quality refurbishment possible. The lovely original brasswork has then been highly polished and enamel painted in the relief to match the safe.

This safe features its manufacturer's polished brass plaque of "PHILLIPS & SON LOCK & SAFE CO LTD. FIRE FALL AND THEFT RESISTING MANUFACTURERS. BIRMINGHAM ". The am azing solid brass handle reminds us of a bolt action rifle as the mechanism is sturdy and has a satisfying latching action in a smoothly working order. The external lock is working smoothly with 2 keys (1 original branded Phillips) and the brass keyhole escutcheon has a lovely pivoting lid with the words "LEVER LOCK" which elegantly covers the keyhole when not in use.

The i nside of the safe has been re painted to exactly match the original colour. This safe is complete with a gold manufacturer transfer of Phillips & Son to the inside of the door. The safe has 1 internal secure locking drawer which mimics the front door with its coach-line design. The drawer also features its original polished handle with black painted relief and solid brass polished lock complete with 2 keys.

To match the paintwork theme our upholstery department has made high quality gold full grain leather removable liners to the shelf and inside the drawer to keep your valuables and the safe itself protected from scratches or damage when items are stored inside.

We have included an automatic LED light inside the safe which comes on when the door is opened or detects movement. The light is easily removed, has a long life Li-ion battery and is charged simply via USB.

This safe is ideal for storing important paperwork, house deeds, birth certificates, passports, cash, jewellery or anything else of value and is obviously rather safe. This safe would look fabulous in a loft style apartment or vintage themed home and would certainly be an interesting talking point for guests. This item could also be used as a small coffee table with storage.

Please note; This item is in very good condition for its age but will obviously have the odd blemish and scuff here and there. However, we feel that this adds to the charm and authenticity of the item with it being Antique.
