A lovely tilt top mahogany table.

We bring to you this fine example of a mid Victorian solid Mahogany tilt top oval table believed to be made around C1880. This lovely table is complete with the original polish throughout (does have wear related marks on the top as pictured) with a lightly faded original colour with lots of patina and character.

This tilt top table is made from all solid Mahogany featuring a beautifully turned pillar going to 4 carved and shaped cabriole legs which stand on the original castors with brown porcelain wheels. This table features a book matched solid Mahogany 2 plank top with lovely mirrored knots either side which gives lovely charm and character. The table is solid, does not wobble and the top is free from bows or twists.

This table has a small overall form yet is versatile from having an oval shaped top managing to comfortably seat 4 people and be used as a dining room or breakfast table. Already not taking up too much room because of this shape, the top tilts up-right for storage with a working table catch and is removable via 2 wing bolts.

This table is in great condition for its age as shown by the photographs however being an antique item of this age there are blemishes and scuffs here and there which we feel adds to its originality and heritage.

We have sympathetically restored this item maintaining original patina by just carefully waxing this item to enhance the French polished surface and preserve it for many years to come.
