A well looked after Victorian Mahogany Drop Leaf Sutherland Tea/Dining Table.

An ideal antique drop leaf dining table for space saving.

This is a marvellous example of a Victorian drop leaf Sutherland solid Mahogany tea/dining table believed to be made around C1850 featuring a lovely lightly faded rich Mahogany colour with original french polished finish with patina. We have just cleaned and waxed this lovely table to give a natural shine and enhance the french polished finish.

This table has a very small form yet is versatile from having 2 large drop-down leaves managing to comfortably seat 4 people and be used as a dining room, breakfast table or occasional/hall table. This table features delicately fret-worked side supports complete with a turned mid-rail and hinged table leaf legs to support the leafs when opened. This rare and ornate table has had some repairs done in the past, however, is tight with no joint movement. The tops have its original lovely highly polished french polished finish are flat and not twisted. The table also features 4 original solid brass castors to either side complete with its original 2 white porcelain table legs castors with freely moving wheels.

Please note; Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches and dents however, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character. We have left it untouched and as it came in from the previous owner apart from just cleaning and waxing this item.
