This substantial chest of drawers features a secret moulded top drawer with drawers descending to its extra large 12 ¾ inch deep bottom drawer which incorporates its lovely fall moulding. This amazing chest features the finest flame grain book-matched Mahogany to all of the drawer fronts which is complemented by its Rosewood knobs with mother of pearl inlays. The drawers also feature diamond bone escutcheons which front its original brass locks which all operate smoothly via its original included key. The chest of drawers also has its stunning turned pillars which flank the chest and stands very proudly on 4 elegant turned legs. This ornate tall Scottish chest of drawers is in an absolutely pristine original condition, featuring its original beautiful glazed French polished finish with the best lovely sought after warm Mahogany colour.

The incredibly finely dovetailed Mahogany lined drawers are a true masterpiece in craftsmanship, smoothly operating, tight (but not too tight) with no drawer wear and are very clean inside.

We were told that this chest has been in the same family & house since it was made. From the condition alone we definitely believe it, this is a truly fine example of quality and condition.

We have just carefully cleaned and waxed this chest, maintaining its original patina whilst giving a lovely natural sheen.

Please note; This item is in fantastic condition for its age as shown by the photographs below. Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches and dents, however, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character to a piece.
