A well looked after solid Oak Barley twist gate leg table.
A 1930's drop leaf oak gate leg table that's been cared for.
This is a great example of a well-made solid oak gate leg table from the 1930's era which has been cared for as shown by the condition.
This table has a very small form yet is versatile from having 2 large drop down leaves managing to comfortably seat 4 people and be used as a dining room, breakfast table or occasional/hall table. This sturdy table features solid oak boards with a moulded edge, 8 turned barley twist legs, 4 of which form the gate leg to support the leaves. Already not taking up much room because of this design, the leaves drop down for storage making it a breeze to bring out when needed or move it between rooms and store out of the way when not needed.
We have just cleaned and carefully waxed this table to give a natural shine and protect the surface. This item is in a great condition for its age as shown by the photographs below. Being a vintage/used item there are obviously minor marks, scratches and dents, however, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm so we have left it untouched as it came in from the previous owner.
Please note, chairs are for display purposes only and are not included in the sale, however, may be available at our shop.
